About Crystal Reverie
Crystal Reverie is an event based Linkshell with it's home being on the Final Fantasy XI server Cait Sith. Being 4 years old it is one of the older and stronger held linkshells on the server, it was founded by Vaelushyn and her husband (IRL Fiance) Hykiri.

This linkshell literally does every and any kind of events/runs, from Rank 2-3 Dragon to the Ark Angels and is the first non-HNML's (High Notorious Monster Linkshell) to access Sea. This linkshell consists of a group of upbeat energetic bunch that help out when they can.

Crystal Reverie Rules and Regulations

Introduction
First off we at Crystal Reverie wish to thank you for expressing interest in our LS! Being one of the few and proud help based LS's mean we strive to do our best to plan events to benefit and aid LS members from all walks of life. Be they level 1 or 75 we work hard to ensure each player has an enjoyable time not only on this game but a friendly LS environment to log on to. However, this cannot be achieved without a rule system by which to follow. While older members know most of these stated rules by heart, as LS leader I see new recruits appearing at a healthy rate. For this reason I (Vaelushyn) have hereby documented these rules and urge both members and recruits to please read them and agree to them before joining / staying in CR.

CR GUIDELINES

#1: RULES OF MULTIPLE LINKPEARLS
Put simply, there is none. This game is about fun and in keeping with that theme we do not require people to destroy all linkpearls but ours. We realize that people have friends and active roles in other LSs and may even own or start their own! A person may get on as often or as little as they wish. How this affects help received however is described below in the events section.

#2: RULES OF CONDUCT

LS DISPUTES: Due to this being a large and expanding LS of all nations, cultures, beliefs and personalities everyone agreeing with one another all the time is of course not possible. Because of this to maintain a fun environment within the LS itself I strictly forbid fights to be broadcast within the LS itself. Disputes are to be handled in private tells, or sent to me or another sackholder to mediate the situation. Should this rule be ignored and a fight erupts into the LS, I will remove the linkpearls of those involved forcing them to finish their quarrel elsewhere. They will then be issued new pearls afterward. However, if this must be done three times the parties will be considered disrespectful of the no LS fight rule and permanently removed from CR.

LS LANGUAGE: Being a fun based LS, the atmosphere in the LS is not to restricted too harshly to promote a relaxed atmosphere for everyone. However there is a limit that must be taken into consideration to keep the peace as best as possible. While our crowd is a lively bunch and as such humor of all kinds is freely tossed around in the LS, topics that spark controversy such as race/religious beliefs/sexual preferences/sexual fantasies are not to be brought into the LS in a negative manner.

Since I know a good deal of remarks are simply humor gone too far, or a conversation carried on to just one or two LS mates and just happened to be read by the LS and taken offense to, the solution is very simple. If a topic that troubles you is brought to the LS chat, send a /tell to myself or another sackholder. He/she will in turn /tell to the offender that they have received complaints about the offending subject, and to either drop the subject or if it must be continued to please do so in /tell or party fashion.

This is hardly much to ask of the LS, but should the offender(s) refuse to stop the topic in linkshell mode the sackholder who warned you has the right to temporarily remove you from the LS until I am informed and a resolution is met. Should any person have to be removed three times their "Three Strikes" right as described below is exhausted and they are permanently removed from the LS.

THREE STRIKES RULE: Being a believer of the second chance, as we are only human and will inevitably have our bad days that might unintentionally make its way into the game, I've designed a three strikes setup for CR. This rule, just as it sounds, gives every member three strikes to error from the moment they join this LS. Should a member break any of the "RULES OF CONDUCT" stated above, one strike is set against that person. Should they do this three times, their right to stay in CR is discussed with all the sackholders via our personal web site forum. Each holder presents their thoughts, and factors such as the frequency of these disturbances, how long it took the person to burn all three strikes, his/her overall behavior and devotion to the LS.

Depending on these factors a member might simply be penalized in the form of their event requests struck for the month or the next, or if deemed an LS nuisance to the fun we try so hard to provide, an indefinite removal from CR is issued. While I do hate having to remove LS members, this is a necessary rule to keep the peace of a working LS so I hope not to use this option often.

#3: RULES OF EVENTS

SUBMITTING REQUESTS: As mentioned above CR is a help based LS, where those in need request help and events are scheduled per month to meet those needs. For those wishing to request an event the timeline to do so will be the 1st-7th of each month. Simply go to our web site and send it in via the request forum, and if chosen a date will be set. Its that simple! Eight events will be chosen and set per month, so please be patient if your event doesn't make it the month its requested. The eight events chosen are based on the factors of the requestor explained below. Those without a computer will be accounted for and can send in requests via messages and tells as well as read events through the up to date /lsmes posts!

ATTENDANCE: These events cannot take place without the aid of members and sackholders alike, so I must stress the importance of showing up, even if this is not your event. Unless for obvious real life situations that cannot be avoided, pre made plans (i.e. another LS's event) it is imperative that your assistance be offered. If the quota of people needed for the said event are filled then you are welcome to carry on and do as you were. If you choose not to offer your assistance (i.e. choose to exp, skill up, or simply sit the event out to chat with the LS) on said events, your event (if one is set) will be struck from the calendar and that space given to one who gave his/her time to help us help the LS. You may then reapply your event if still needed at the beginning of the next month. This does not apply to those who did offer but were not needed for the event or not of the level to help with the event. This is also not held against members who either run their own LS with their event falling on one of our event dates / members to another LS who've promised to be at their event falling on the CR event dates. This does not exempt this category from the events they can offer for however.

PREPERATION: To those who request events and wish to participate in them, preparation is key! It is now required that both requesters and participants look up the needed data required for the said event and be prepared accordingly the day of. Not only does this help events run on time, but with a smoother efficiency leaving ample time to retry the event should failure or mishap occur. Any questions about unfound information, battle strategies, etc can be directed to the event host/hostess however. The history of the requestor's readiness per granted request will reflect on the willingness to grant another event, so be ready! Again those without a computer are not left out here. Simply inform me or a fellow sackholder or friend that you do not posses a computer and need assistance looking up the information you need for your event in advance!

MAJORITY NEEDS: While this factor actually has no factor on the requestor whatsoever, this is still something I look for when choosing my eight events and felt it worth mentioning. Here at CR we strive to help as many people as possible, so while yes we do as many personal requests as possible per month, if I see a request or two that is asked for by a great deal of the LS I will grant it to help the majority needs of the LS. This gives many members something to look forward to and a feeling of being rewarded for helping out with personal requests and motivate more shows on future events!

EVENT SIGN UPS

Once an event is granted, the date and all available information and supplies will be listed in a thread under the "Event Sign Up" forum. This allows the LS easy access to all data needed without site hopping as well as a way to sign up for events along with their list of jobs available for that event well in advance. This gives me or the assigned host/hostess an idea of party setup, number of members/parties attending and appropriate strategies needed well before the event date arrives. Because of the importance of these factors on both mission events and NM/BCNM/KSNM events it is required you sign up to all event threads created per month you plan to be a part of! If your name is not seen with the required info ask per thread the following will be enforced:

If mission event all who do not sign up with appropriate info will be considered absent and not be held a spot in the party nor asked to see if they are attending. Once all spots in the party are filled the event will begin as planned with those who provided their information.

If KSNM/BCNM/NM event those who have not signed up for the said run will not be contacted to attend and the event will go on as planned with either going on to the BCNM/KSNM/NM requestor(s) who did show or cancelling the event and declaring the day free if there are none.

Please understand I make great effort to see that this information is provided not just to make your life easier, but mine as well by being able to better plan and construct events for CR. For all the hours taken to construct these threads all I ask is five or ten minutes of your time to fill these threads out to help me help you all better. Please respect this request and fill them out/read up on supplies to save for to be ready the day of the event.

#4: RULES OF THE SACKHOLDERS

Those who show their willingness to help over extended periods of time may be deemed sackholders. This does not mean you may use the sack in just any way you see fit, such as booting a person you may find annoying, using its power to threaten, or inviting masses of people. It does mean that you have earned my trust and respect to wield this power to help mediate fights, to invite only those you feel are trustworthy, and to display true CR charisma by helping host events when I cannot or are overburdened. Sackholders may temporarily boot members they feel are disruptive / disrespectful until I can personally look into the matter.

If over a period of time these traits are observed grounds for pearlsack removal can be enforced:

Disregardance to the very rules you are trusted to enforce. This includes all of the "Code of Conduct" rules that are set to keep peace among the LS. Repeted displays of breaking any of these rules will call for immediate dismissal of your pearlsack as it is a pearlsack holder's duty to keep the peace among the LS as best he/she can instead of creating the chaos the rules were set to prevent.

Lack of participation in the LS. As sackholders we set the example for what we wish to see from our LS members, and that includes attendance to LS events. If a sackholder is witnessed not volunteering/attending events when possible just as is expected of its members for over a month, a message will be sent of a one final month notice. If particupation does not improve in that month the pearlsack holder will be relieved of his/her duties.

Depending on the severity of why a pearlsackholder has been removed from his/her position determines whether or not the person can become elidgable for regaining this position in the future. Bear in mind this honor comes as a symbol of my highest trust and faith in the people I bestow this to, and breach/abuse of this trust and faith may or may not be redeemable based on the circumstances. With that said do not take this lightly as this promotion goes far more than a mere title.

About CR NM Expansion
Bear in mind this is not an HNMLS, and as such we do not do HNM / Pop HNM runs, however regular NMs are perfectly ok to request. By regular NMs this means anything that can be killed by a party of 6 lvl75s or less. Such as anything from a "possible" Charybdis, Ungur or Shikigami Weapon lvl range to Sewer Syrup, Upyri, Padfoot and Megalobugard or just Leaping Lizzy and Valkurm Emperor to those just starting out on the game and need a hand!

REQUESTING A NM RUN
NMs are to be requested as an event. It will not have its own category of events as to not overburden the LS with daily tasks. This is merely an extension of all the things that can already be asked for from CR. To submit for an NM run simply submit it via the site the 1st-7th each month through the site as usual. There are a few points to consider with requests of NMs though before submitting however. I would like to go over these now.

NM REQUEST REQUIREMENTS
To request an NM it has to meet the requirements listed below:

It has to be an item that you feel will benefit your main job, or a job you very frequently use as a secondary main or a job you truly intend to level to a main use job. Any jobs used only as a hobby or subjob with no intent to actually level up will not be considered for an NM run item, so please do not clutter the request board with items for jobs such as this.

Read below to see how each type of NM is to be handled as an event.

IF TIMED/LOTTO NMS
To determine how an event is set up involving an NM, the timing of the NM will determine how CR will camp it. If it is a 21-24 hour pop NM or near it we will require that you the requestor get the ToD (time of death) so it can be tracked until it pops on a time where the most LS mates can show up to aid in its camp/kill of the NM.

If it is a shorter time (i.e. Joyouse is a 9-12 hour timer), of course it is nearly impossdible to track even with its ToD due to its odd pop hours. For this reason if such a NM is requested, a time limit will be set on the said event day where the LS will be asked to participate as long as you can or until the time limit set on the event expires. (i.e. An event involving the Joyoeuse might have a 4 hour camp limit set on it if granted,) While this does not guarantee a claim, it does at least ofer a chance at the item that might not be achieved at all otherwise.

If the request is for a short timed / lotto NM such as Leaping Lizzy, Valkurm Emporer, Mae Deggi the Punisher, etc I will set a pop number on the event. (i.e. a mob that might spawn once per 2 hours will be granted a 2 pop event).

BCNM/KSNM REQUIREMENTS
Some items are only obtained through KSNMs or can be used as an alternative to certain HNM drops (i.e. the Venemous Claw found on Serket and Damascene Cloth used in making Scorpion Harnesses and Vermillion Cloak can be found in Operation Desert Swarm instead of fighting Serket or the God HNM Genbu.) This can also be requested just for a source of gil to aide in leveling jobs or other forms of fun in the game! These runs will be a "your orb your drop" style run so that those to help the requester and while doing so help out other LS mates to keep things as fair as can be made. All the LS asks in return is that all stay until all orb bearers at least get one turn each in since after all they did come to help you too!

IF MULTIPLE REQUESTERS
A few factors will be considered in determining order of receivers if multiple requests are made for the same item, but overall a very simple method, these are:

The person who requested the NM camp (brought ToD) receives the first chance at the item in question.

Second and so on in line for said item would be any others who had this drop as an event requests, in the order they posted their requests from first to last.

Any other receivers would rely strictly on job level to said item within the 5 level limit, until camping window moves out of conveniant time frame.

If BCNM/KSNM

If the multiple requests are for a BCNM/KSNM drop however, its whichever requester gets the drop since unlike NMs which are only time based, BCNM/KSNMs require seals that take a great deal of time to farm and save up and can only be retried until he/she is out of seals. The order in which people will use their orb however, will be based on who requested first-last.

That's all there is to it!

ABOUT MEMBER OF THE MONTH
Obtaining Member of the Month is a high honor, for it is not me who chooses but instead the voice of the LS as a whole. During the last week of each month a post will be made to begin voting for the award via private message votes sent to me on this site during the entire week. At the first of the next month the winner will be announced by me and be asked to choose his/her reward in the form of one evented day set to the date and time of their choice. On this said day that person will have that day in their honor and anything they wish within the power of CR will be done on that day, even if its just a day off! These votes will be based on helpfulness to LS both in and out of events, character and each voter's own personal reason for choosing that person, so please write that in with your vote! Also remember once a Member of the Month is chosen that person cannot be re elected to that position twice in a row to keep the position open to thw entire LS.

CLOSING
While long to read this really is not much to ask for at all. I hope that this helps define what CR is truly about and that long time members continue to show CR help and spirit, while new recruits find this LS a fun place to be in both receiving and giving help. I thank you for your time in reading this and hope to see you in CR! Happy gaming!
